Friends and fans. We are sad to have to tell you all that RUMBA! is closing for good. We have struggled with this decision for quite some time, but have to let it go for now. We have loved serving you and providing a place for food, fun, and friendship. Thank you all who have supported us in this; we love you all.

Cooking Demonstration

Rumba! will do a cooking demonstration at the City Fiesta del Otono on Saturday, September 25th. Owner Gabriel Zelaya will be demonstrating how to make Plantanos Tostones (fried plantains). Demonstration times to be announced at event (probably 10:30am and 11:30am)

Taste of Bloomington

Come check us out at the 28th annual Taste of Bloomington!
It will take place on June 19th, from 3 to 11 pm at Showers Common (7th & Morton Streets, next door to the Bloomington City Hall).
Tickets will be available on the day of the event.
Admission prices are $6 per person; children under 12 are free! All food items will be priced at $3 or less. Taste of Bloomington is a non-smoking event. Parking is available in City garages at the following locations:
7th & Walnut Streets
4th & Walnut Streets
7th & Morton Streets
A portion of the proceeds from Taste of Bloomington will benefit the Hoosier Hills Food Bank and the Community Kitchen of Monroe County.
There is live entertainment scheduled throughout the day and children activities from 5-8pm.

Relief Turnout

Great turnout for the Earthquake Relief benefit today. Thank you to everyone who came to support the cause. Rumba will proudly send a donation to the Red Cross on behalf of everyone who was here.

Haiti and Chile Benefit

There will be a benefit lunch and dinner held at Rumba on Saturday, March 13th to help the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. A special $45 dinner for two will be available that includes one appetizer, two entrees, two desserts and unlimited soft drinks with ALL proceeds to be donated. Additionally, ten percent of all other meal proceeds will be donated. Live latin music will be provided at 1pm by Ed and Jill and at 7pm by Abraxas Segundo.
